During our trip to Cape Verde we had visited some interesting places in Santiago: Tarrafal in the northwest-small and lovely fishing village; Assomada-one of the biggest market places in Cabo Verde; Serra Malagueta-mountains between Tarrafal and Assomada; Slow death camp-a sad historical place close to Tarrafal; Praia-a capital city; Cidade Velha-first settlement in Cabo Verde; Jardim Botanico-botanical garden
Green mountains, barren rocks and wide beaches: This documentary presents life and survival on the idiosyncratic Cape Verde Islands in the middle of the Atlantic, where the islanders confront difficulties with a smile.
